There are quite a few new faces around here and I wanted to say welcome! This week’s newsletter is going to be short and sweet as I will be having surgery later this morning. You can always find past newsletters archived here if you are looking for more reading.
This week my family’s story was featured on the podcast Last Day. My older sister Emily experienced a fatal overdose on December 3, 2016, after living with a substance use disorder for nearly five years.
Episode 19 “Mommy, Again” features my sister, our mom, and me talking about Emily’s substance use, losing her, and becoming a grandfamily. It’s 38 minutes long and I would love if you listened to it.
